Michael Hanegan is the Founder and Chief Research Officer of the
Center for the Future of Learning and Work. He is an adjunct professor in AI and the Future of Learning and Work at Rose State College and the University of Central Oklahoma. He is the co-author of the forthcoming,
*Generative AI and Libraries: Claiming Our Place in the Center of a Shared Future,* published by the American Library Association. His work explores the renegotiation of the connections between learning and work, how Generative AI presents accelerated opportunities and challenges to this inquiry, and how we cultivate and sustain human-centered approaches to our near future both in our area of influence and at scale.
He lives in Edmond, Oklahoma with his family, his dog, mountains of books and ideas, and the occasional attempt to solve all the world’s problems around a fire pit with his closest friends.
